Then of course the "radios" (songs similar to another one or similar to an artist, etc. And those mixes evolve every morning too. I'm very eclectic, I enjoy opera as much as dancehall, punk or french pop, and all my main genres had their own mix. The first morning after I registered it was already offering me 8 different custom mixes, each with different moods, beautifully tailored to what I like to listen. So far I would say I'm most pleased by Tidal. I'm in the process of 30-days-trialing several music streaming services (Napster, Deezer, Spotify, Soundcloud, Apple Music and Tidal). Like I've said before, I'm not an expert, but anyone with a good ear for music can spot the difference, and by the way, you pretty much read audiophile on my comment and got triggered and entitled to call me out, search the whole meaning of the word before putting yourself into a conversation, and if you had paid attention, I literally said that FOR ME is better, no that I was right, by my own experience with all the streaming services, I found Tidal to be the best, that's MY conclusion, now if you don't believe it, that's ok, but don't come at me like that as if you own the truth, believe on what you believe and I will believe in what I believe. I don't claim do be an expert in music quality, but that's biology, some people hear the difference, others don't, and the ones who don't can pretty much learn to hear it, your placebo theory is ridiculous, if so, is like saying I'm having audio illusions and making myself believe there's a difference where there aren't. Audiophile' me, I'm not forcing you to believe in me, I'm just saying that at the end, not everyone has a good ear for music, and you can simply say that somethings sound good or bad in quality by hearing it, when I said I'm an audiophile, I didn't mean on the technical terms of sound quality only, to be an audiophile person is more then studying sound quality, but liking music, in other extends, like for an example, I'm an eclectic person. Call it what it isĪlso, this Tidal community is really great because we all love great sounding music So Tidal still makes me feel like a bit of a rebel and I am going against the grain. I am also the type of person that bought the Microsoft Zune when it came out because everyone else was buying friggin iPods and I wanted to be different. A direct payout of $2 goes towards my top artist monthly. Tidal has a monthly breakdown of your top artists as well. More transparency for where my monthly fee is going. I feel Tidal is what it is and it has nothing to hide, it is music and artist forward and that is what I want. Especially now that users can upload their own public playlists. I am a genre hopper and Tidal has a great selection and the playlists are getting better. ![]() Spotify is a busy app and I like things simple and clean.Īs someone that listens to albums, Tidal serves well for that reason as they seem to be getting a larger selection. ![]() It has taken a whole year with Tidal and it pretty much knows what I like and do not like and I feel like it kinda is more personable experience. I find it not nearly as aggressive as Spotify. I find Tidal easy to use and I prefer the algorithm of Tidal compared to Spotify. I made the switch last January and I like it.
